the research I have been doing into slapstick comedy has given me my own ideas on stunts I can do and the positioning of the camera. I have researched into a lot of slapstick movies and series such as tom and jerry an animated slapstick comedy. I have also watched dumb and dumber, Johnny English, Fred the movie, those are more modern slapstick comedies. Some old slapstick comedies I have also researched into are Charlie Chaplin and laurel and hardy these were made in the early to mid 1900's they were silent and filmed in black and white which is what I'm going to do for my project.

Section 1: Rationale/Review (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 100 words)
I have picked up multiple skills from the past units which will help me with my final major project. The past units have taught me what I need to reflect on in order to pass and what I could have done better. I know what to do and how to layout my blogger and where everything needs to go. I have had a lot of work with the camera and editing so I am capable of handling the camera on my own, I’ll still need some more help with the editing software’s but I feel I have got a firm grip on how to edit.
Section 2: Project Concept (Level 2 approx 100 words, Level 3 approx 200 words)
The concept of my project is to be able to work with the camera by myself and use it in other places other than the studio. For my final major project I will be doing a short slapstick comedy film in my house about A boy who keeps trying to attempt home workout exercises in his messy room realises the exercise isn’t the only challenge he has to overcome. For my research into this I will be watching short movies and comparing and analysing them to help me get an idea of how to record my movie and what shots to use etc. For the resources I will need a camera, a tripod and a microphone, I will need to take all that stuff home from kings Lynn to Wisbech which will be tricky but I need to be able to use the equipment of the premises of the college. I will be shooting the movie in my bedroom which I will need to set the scene by making my room really messy which will not be a problem. I will have an allocated timetable to make sure I don’t miss anything out.
Section 3: Evaluation (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 50 words)
I will aim to reflect and evaluate my work by understanding my last mistakes in the past units and use that to help me with my final major project. I will also be watching other short films I will use that to make changes on my ideas and improve them.

For my primary research I will be doing surveys and for secondary research I will be watching short movies and analyzing them and putting them towards my idea.
